To say that I went to China is pretty cool. To say that I went to China to Surfis way cooler. To say that I went to China to work on something that I love to do is even a better senario. Now to say that I went to China and scored epic waves is an understatement. I went to China and got super barreled & had an amazing time with people from all around the world. We all shared something in common which is living the lifestyle that is attached to Surfing.
The place visited was an island called Hainan off the south east cost of the Peoples Republic of China.
This year we had a chance to fly to Canada and spend the Christmas Holidays with Dra’s Family. Having Christmas day in Red Deer, at my wife’s home town with Family & friends was a great time to catch up and show Maceo to our loved ones. After that we headed to the Canadian rockies/Banff for a few day’s with Maceo, Steph, Mama & Papa Neu where we strolled around town & had great dining, shopping and quality time together looking at the sights.
We are spending new years eve at Ronan & Lisa’s house……
To be present at the ISA World Master Surfing Championships was an amazing chance to see old friends representing their nations.
Having a chat with all the legends at the ISA World Masters was an interesting experience. Taking part in all the insights of what was going on in the competition has been an opportunity that I will never forget. To share sessions once again with friends and also local legends Jimmy & Robert Rotherham is a must to do again. To the ISA’s staff, Thank you & when ever you need a web commentator please feel free to ask. It is always a pleasure working with you guy’s.
Thanks to all the Nations that cleaned the point at Punta Roca & gave El Salvador a lending hand in a time of need. Because of you they will recover from the damages much quicker & faster.
Puerto Rico taking the Copper medal over Hawaii & Australia a huge achievement for the Boricuas. Congrats to Juan Ashton for his gold in the Grand Masters & Carlos Cabrero for his Silver in the Masters. I hope this inspires Puerto Rico to be a force to be reckon with in competitive surfing for the future.

El Salvador was truly and once again Impresionante.
This past month has been packed with all sorts of good stuff. Our good friends Magnum & Laya Martinez visited us from Panama and we spent some time showing them Puerto Rico & the sights they had not seen on previous visits.
The first weekend of the month we all went west to Isabela for the Corona Contest where I managed to get ninth and a couple of bucks for the wallet. Waves where kinda messy but it was better than having it be flat. We had a great time.
Tio Magnum & Titi Laya got to spend time with Maceo witch was one of the main reasons they picked Puerto Rico for their annual Flores & Martinez vacation. Maceo loved spending time with Uncle & Antie Matrtinez….
Off to El Salvador for the ISA Masters Surfing Championships.
